The program, complimented by a 30 seconds spot, captures Cabo-Verde 's historical legacy in the slave trade as  the  inter- continental  post  where  the  Portuguese  crown deposited, trained and re-sold their
human cargos to the New World-Brasil, Caribbean and the United States of America.
The American  Legacy  Television Special  is the  result of a  Herculean effort  on the part P.O.D. and its founders to visually capture the historical essence of the Cabo Verde Islands , a nation quickly becoming Europe's #1 vacation and investment destination in Africa .

Television  Special  was  shot  last  September  during  a  two  weeks  travel  whirlwind,  which  took  the  production team through the islands of Santiago (Capital), Fogo, São Vicente, Santo Antão and Sal.
